You’re looking for a new toy?
You’ve got a kit bag that’s already bursting at the seams. You’ve got the floggers, the dragon tails, the paddles, but you want something new, something different!
I’m proud of the toys that we make here, from using only solid wood (beech or maple) for our stock toys, to the range and vibrancy of colours, through to the incredibly tough and hygienic finish we use (that’s toy safe and industrial kitchen tested FYI). I think they all deserve a place in your toy bag, but there just isn’t room!
Right here I’m giving you a few of my favourites, something a bit different, and some hints at why they might be the toy you’re looking for:
We both know this paddle looks like a bit of a laugh!
But, I was very pleasantly surprised when I made version one of the ducky paddle and it turned out to be really, really fun. The paddle has a satisfying weight to it, and the ducks have just enough squish to make it deeply thuddy.
I love this toy for warm ups, and for introducing people to impact-for obvious reasons it tends to make people laugh!
This one looks simple… and that is exactly why it works so well…
The biothane slapper has a snappy bite and a very satisfying crack. It’s vegan, light in the hand, easy to steer, wipe clean, and biothane over leather makes it much grippier - leaving great marks!
I reach for this toy a lot when I want clear feedback without needing lots of force. Brilliant for short, sharp scenes and for anyone who’s looking for low-maintenance kit.
Small tail, big personality!
The baby dragontail gives a precise, whippy flick that you can keep gentle or dial up depending on the area. It is light, responsive, and great for target practice in smaller spaces.
I love it for quick accents between thuddier toys, and for precise strikes on sensitive areas.
Heavy, grounded, and gloriously deep.
The D4 lands like a slow wave, more massage than smack, soaking into muscle with a rolling thud. It is a great step up from standard paddles when you want intensity without sharp sting. Does it help that for all the DMs out there this lets them take out some frustration from the last session?
Perfect for deep warm ups that melt tension, and for scenes that ask for weight, not whip.
